Launch the media gallery 1 playerWelcome students, parents, school and community members of Seiling! My name is Anika Rohla, and I am Seiling's Junior High English and Language Arts teacher. I am excited to begin this new journey in such a wonderful school and community.
The past seven years, I taught 7th grade Language Arts in Woodward, Oklahoma and one year Computer and Yearbook in Seiling, OK. I received my BA in English Education from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, and my MA in English from Fort Hays State University. In Woodward, I served as the Student Council sponsor and on the Teacher Technology Training Team. I am married to Travis Rohla, Major County District 3 Commissioner, and with our two boys (4 and 6) we live out on a farm.
I believe that our kids are our future, and educating them with our hearts, knowledge, and values will make them successful. Kids of today's age will need to combine traditional knowledge from Reading, Math, Ag, Band etc. with technology and its ways of application. Their English classes will give them this opportunity, along with many tools that will not only help them succeed in school, but also later on in college and /or work force. In educational, fun, and engaging ways, students will learn different aspects of literature, writing, and grammar.
