Superintendent's Message

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!  I look forward to seeing all of our students and new faculty/staff members as we begin the new year.

Our new faculty/staff members include the following:

Sheryl Craig -- Secondary Social Studies/History

Mariah Martin -- First Grade

Bobbie Jo Perron -- Second Grade

Chelsey Nauss -- Elementary Secretary

Steve Foutch -- Custodian

Sheila Vaughn -- Custodian/Bus Driver

Randie Martin -- Paraprofessional/Teacher Aide

Nicole Sander -- Paraprofessional/Teacher Aide

Late in March of the last school year, our District participated in an AdvancED Engagement Review that gathered feedback from students, teachers, administrators, support staff, parents, and community members.  The four member team of professional educators also conducted classroom observations during the two day review.

Our District recently received information that it has, again, met the criteria for educational quality established by the AdvancED Accreditation Commission and was accredited by the NCA Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the SACS Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.  This accreditation is in addition to the accreditation approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

Progress continues on our building projects.  The school building is currently scheduled for completion in December while dirt work and utility relocations are underway for the multi-purpose building and softball field.

Throughout the school year, I will be providing building updates on school website.  These updates will provide information related to progress on projects in our current bond issue.  You can access these by clicking on the Bond Issue Update under the Administration button.

As a reminder, our District will utilize School Messenger, which is an automated telephone calling system, to distribute information concerning school closings, to notify parents about activity changes, to call on student meal account information, and to distribute emergency information.  Please make sure that your telephone contact information is current.  Parents and students can also sign up for the text alerts on the school website.

Have a great school year!
